RE: Jayco wheel well tire clearance

Glad I saw this post, we have a 2008 Jay Feather 25F. I just went out and checked and we only have about an inch of clearance, and there are already black marks inside the wheelwell where the tires have rubbed, especially the two front tires. I have not been contacted by Jayco or our dealer, so don't assume that they know exactly which TTs were affected. Guess I'm calling my dealer tomorrow...

RE: Field Testing NEW Sway Bracket Jackets

I have an 08 Jay Feather 25F, mine has the same coupler, welded to the bottom edge of the A-frame. My spring bars are angled upward as well. I think I will start from scratch using Josh's input from the original post, since it appears I have the same situation as the OP.

RE: Requesting user comments on Jayco Jay Feather Light

We bought a 25F about a month ago and we love it. Since we have had it only a short time, I'm not sure how much our input will help. Right after purchasing, we took it on a two-week trip to Louisiana, about 1100 miles from our home. It towed well and everything functioned flawlessly. In general, the quality seems to be much better than our previous TT, a Kodiak (same as Aerolite). The only thing that bothers me a little bit is that the flexible gas line into the fridge enters through the floor, only a few inches behind the rear tire, and it is unprotected. I could see this gas line being taken out if you were to lose that particular tire on the highway. I will probably look for a way to enclose/protect that gas line. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. -Mike

RE: New Jayco Eagle

Chesaco also owns Triangle RV in Frederick MD now, so you can get service at Triangle whether you buy there or in Baltimore at Chesaco. Although when I tried to buy at Triangle, they were not so accomodating pricewise, but they were pleasant. BTW, I used to live in Brunswick, downtown across from the roundhouse on Potomac St. We live in Charles Town now.

RE: New Jayco Eagle

Try Chesaco RV in Baltimore, www.chesacorv.com. They came very close to matching my RV Direct price on a new Jayco 25F, picking it up Saturday. Their actual Jayco price is $1K more, but they are giving me $1K more for my trade-in also, so it works out pretty close.

Jayco 25F and in-slide fridge

Hello, we are looking at a 2008 Jayco 25F with the refrigerator in the slide, which worries us a bit. How exactly does this work, is the gas line to the fridge made from some type of material more flexible than copper? We are concerned about the wear and tear over time, to the gas line and wiring associated with the fridge moving in and out. Does anyone have a fridge or kitchen in the slide that can comment on the durability? Does anyone have a 25F that can offer any input on any other issues they have had with it? Thanks!
